Toad For Oracle 2018 R2.1 License Key And Site Message

Hello out there in data land. My name is Robert Pound, and I am a product technologist for Quest. This video covers online licensing in Toad products. Products in the total portfolio now allow you to manage and access your license keys through our license manager that's online. This makes access and management easier. So to begin, the first thing you'll want to do is log onto www.toadworld.com. And then, we're going to click on Licenses. From here, you'll be prompted for your Quest credentials that you use to access your keys. If you don't have access, that's covered in another video. But let me go ahead and sign in. And from here, we can see all the licenses that I have access to. We also have access keys. So this allows folks using Toad DevOps Toolkit to gain access to the modules. So if you're using agile development, the last thing you want to do is enter in your credentials every time an automation kicks off. So that's why we have access keys. And moving back to the licenses, we can see the different products that I have licenses for. And you can also see, in my case, who's administering them. So Julie Hyman has granted me access to a trial key that's now expired. To add licenses, just as you expect, here in the bottom you can click Add. Enter in your license number and your site message. And that will be added to the management. And obviously, we can shop products as well. You can also assign seats to other users. But if I click here on the ellipses and choose Manage Seats, I can add and revoke access to this key as I see fit. So obviously, if you had 10 licenses, you could assign to 9 folks. I'll go ahead and click Assign User. So this address does not necessarily have to be a Quest account at the time. You can simply assign it to an email address. And then, that user just simply has to sign in for a Quest account with that email credential. And let me go ahead and revoke access. And you also have the ability to reassign to another user at your discretion. And that's all I had to cover for online licensing for Toad. For more information on this product, visit www.quest.com/products/Toad. Thank you, and have a tremendous day.
